“the world outside
won’t understand
what they’ve been through
once they will land”
lyrics
Son of a rotten man
I grew up with hatred in my life
Carried it on and on
I’ve let it grow, it changed my way to be
Had nothing to share to lose or gain
Had nothing to live for
Spending all my time
Looking at the pictures of a life
I’d like to be mine
I’d like to be mine
Spending all this time
Living as a stranger all of my life
All these things that I am...
I’m leaving behind
Stay here I cannot sleep alone
Choking in the night drowning in my memories
Sweet sea a cradle for my deepest dreams
Sometimes I forget to come back to reality
A thousand flies inside my jar
The music stays beside me
The loyal dog that protects me from you all
From you all
Just listen to my deadly silence, turn your back
And disappear you all, stay away from me
Spending all this time
Living as a stranger all of my life
All these things that I am...
I’m leaving behind
Stay here I cannot sleep alone
Choking in the night drowning in my memories
Sweet sea a cradle for my deepest dreams
Sometimes I forget to come back to reality
A thousand flies inside my jar
The music stays besides me
The loyal dog protects me from you all
From you all
Just listen to my deadly silence turn your back
And disappear you all, stay away from me

If someone were to ask me why I love progressive rock, this album would be one of my examples. It's eclectic; it's beautiful; it's sufficiently complex; and its cover art is cool. Soul Doubt does one hell of a great job of reprising the album's themes and building atmosphere and emotion throughout the >100 minute affair. And the cherry on top of it all is that there are no middling or superfluous songs--which is impressive because double albums usually have some amount of filler.
Magnifico!

The Australian prog band channels the chaos of climate change into powerful songs that juxtapose beauty with unpredictable brutality. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 28, 2021
Fantasy progressive rock is not something I'd ever thought of. Yet Foreign Land, especially the Foreign Land track itself, transported me straight into an unknown, magical fantasy world. Hakim Zulkufli
