“the bright one seek
the long lost key
to put themselves
back on their feet”
lyrics
I've looked for you so long
You’re losing yourself
Just grab my hand and come
Come back to life
This time you cannot save our soul my angel
This hatred has imprisoned me
I dealt for sixteen years with lies and cries alone
My strength is slowly dissipating
It's time to bring your demons to the light
Don't let them get a hold on you
I’ve lost my home my hopes have disappeared
Clouds and shadows dance inside me now

If someone were to ask me why I love progressive rock, this album would be one of my examples. It's eclectic; it's beautiful; it's sufficiently complex; and its cover art is cool. Soul Doubt does one hell of a great job of reprising the album's themes and building atmosphere and emotion throughout the >100 minute affair. And the cherry on top of it all is that there are no middling or superfluous songs--which is impressive because double albums usually have some amount of filler.
Magnifico!

Fantasy progressive rock is not something I'd ever thought of. Yet Foreign Land, especially the Foreign Land track itself, transported me straight into an unknown, magical fantasy world. Hakim Zulkufli
